Project 'Brexit Herring' by Anastasia Eggers in collaboration with Colette Aliman

On August 2 we left for the art project 'Brexit Herring' by Anastasia Eggers in collaboration with Colette Aliman to the EEZ border and Lowestoft in England. An attempt was made to capture the movements of herrings within a period of eight hours in the middle of the North Sea. By means of a torpedo-like submarine and a floating device behind the ship, where the camera equipment was attached. In addition, audio recordings of the sea were made using hydrophones. After arriving in Lowestoft Anastasia stayed on board for a few more days to visit the local fishermen, with whom she previously made a performance / video work and she visited a number of other relevant locations for her comprehensive project. For more information about this project, please take a look at her website.
