With a great interest in transition moments, Nele Brökelmann embarked on July 19. We traveled from the relative shallow waters between Denmark and Sweden to the deeper waters off the coast of Norway. Seen from the perspective of the Atlas, a ship that moves through and is moved by water, towards the open North Sea. She is looked for subtle meeting points, gradients and in-betweens in the ways with which we approach the world. How do we perceive these gradients? What interpretations and narratives might emerge if we rethink or disregard preconceived meanings?
